    Did my first burn yesterday

With a torch . Heh. Learned how to use the torches at my dads, practiced on an old skateboard rail. I freaking love torches! They are right up there with my air chisel in terms of fave. Lol, now I want to come across old wire coat hangers so I can practice using them to weld with the torches. this is definately going to come in handy!!

Torches are definately higth on the list of "MAN TOYS" (no offence ladys) but be aware that coat hanger welds are not reliable unless you know exactly what you are doing, even then Im not excited about them, brazing may be an option for you.

It is so cool you enjoy each new tool so much.

Old Dude is right you should look for some cheap brazing rods. They will have flux right in them and you will have much better results.

Yea, but if she learns to braze correctly (and it looks good) with a coat hanger, she'll be able to use almost anything.

I had thought about donating it to the city at first, maybe they could put it in one of the little parks around town. But then I thought about the ramifications if they took it and if someone got hurt on it. Would they hold me accountable? Probably not but I'd still feel bad if some little kid got hurt on it. I didn't want to sell it online for the same reason. Yeah i know lifes a crapshoot but still, I couldn't do it.
