    I wish....

What are some of the tools you kick your self in the butt that you don't have? List them in order to the one you want now.

    The items I need/want are

#1 Forklift *would REALLY help in loading and unloading trailers so I can turn an burn for more.*

#3 forge so I can melt an pack my Al into smaller bricks for storage

#2 copper granulator *would be really nice to be able to turn all my wire into pretty little copper with low man hours.*

#4 Metal gun....be nice to know what is what so I'll stop losing money at the yard.

They are the items I need to be able to go to the next level.

Would like to know whats on your next to get list.

A trailer. I have been trying to buy one for awhile. I had a few set up to buy, but then they have no title.

No title is ok for the most part..Look up the S/N on the trailer...no S/N you get a home made trailer..if there is a S/N then you go down to the police an ask them if trailer with S/N number of xxx is reported as stolen...if not then you just go down an get a homemade trailer title an or go the bonded title.

I just got a trailer tagged that was built by some trailer company but because the S/N plate is unreadable an is old...they just told me slap something on it an then call it a home made trailer. *I put new lighting on the trailer as it needed it anyway.*

Forklift was our best purchase. Be sure to get one with side shift when you do, it makes a world of difference. But here is what I could really use.

#1 A bigger space, Not really a tool but man this would help.
#2 A bigger Box truck, 16 Foot bed is just not large enough
#3 A baler, We get a lot of no ferrous metals like Extruded, Painted, Etc. and it would be nice to bale the stuff.
#4 About 2 more employees, to much work to do..lol

I hear that...more employees would be nice..they are easy to get...but hard to find a good one that is worth his weight in gold.

What Kris Kringle said. All it is...a nice little gun that tells you what kind of metal you have in your hands an what is the mix. (how of this an how much of that kind of thing)

It's called an XRF gun. You can find a lot if you google that.

I had this same problem with my trailer now.. It had a title when I bought it, but it was like 3 names behind on title transfers, so instead of tracking these people down from 1991 and forward to get them to sign the title in their respectives spots, I just went to the DMV and told them I had built my own trailer, and they gave me a plate that I have to renew once a year.

It's a small 6x10 motorcycle hauler with a drop gate, and by now sure looks like I built it, haha.

Oh geez, and here I thought I was all hip with my magnet and mini sawzall!!

#1 - Full size sawzall so I can stop borrowing my dads and don't have to wait to do some breaking down until I get back to his place

#2 - ramps - I'm not strong enough to lift some mowers into my truck by myself. I keep telling myself I need to make some and then it slips my mind until I find another mower at the curb

#3 - Sides for my truck, I have straps but sometimes sides would come in handy!

#4 - trailer hitch so I can get a trailer and not make so many trip[s back home to offload but that probably wont happen until next year.

#5 - not sure if there's anything out there but some kind of magic tool that gets those ''Oh shizz'' caps off the ends of some items with wheels.

My husband is a Portland electrician and he would love to have a larger truck box to put his scrapping tools in while on other jobs. He is always on the lookout for anything he can salvage from jobs he does. He's been able to make a significant amount of money simply by taking what others leave behind as waste.

Rather than a forklift, I'd like the have a little tractor or skid loader. Oh, and a dump trailer.

That wont work in PA, if you don't have a title your pretty much out of luck. Getting a home made title sucks, you need to have receipts for everything you used to build it, take pictures of the finished product, and take it to a designated inspection station. When all said and done it will cost about $150 plus taxes. You can go thru the court system to get a missing title, but that can get expensive also.

I pay $100 - $200 for any trailer that has a title, its just worth the extra money for less aggravation.
