    Harbor Freight

I was just wondering if anyone has dealt with Harbor Freight for their tools....We get a circular from them every week and their prices seem to be really low but I am concerned about the quality...I can go to the dollar store and buy screwdrivers all day long but they won't last one load....Anyone have any thoughts on this company?

I buy a lot of things from there.

The only thing I have ever been disappointed with are the Chicago 4.5'' metal cut off wheel discs. They ate up way too fast.

I've noticed they go pretty fast. Have you found a better wheel?

I just switched back to dewalt discs. They may be $1.50 more each, but last a hell of a lot longer.

Looks like I am heading to Harbor Freight then....We burn through wire cutters around here like they are going out of style so I think I will pick up some more and also some more screwdrivers. Thanks for the info....I was planning to buy a bandsaw (tabletop) from them but I think I will wait and find something else.

I got the same problem with the 4.5 inch cut off wheels. I think that some of there hand tools are junk though. I got a 3 pound sledge 2 weeks ago and it lasted all of 2 hours before the handle broke. Guess you get what you pay for.
