Anyone found a decent pocket scale? Not really looking to be weighing gold or jewerly. But i see a lot of cheap brass whatnots at Goodwill,Yard sales,etc etc. i'm wanting to be able to weigh this stuff,see if its worth buying. maybe in the 2lb capicity range. Anyone have a model you really like or dislike? i think something with a 4x4 plate might work nicely. Thanks.

You shouldn't have any problems finding a 2 or 3 lb. capacity scale. Check the various websites like Walmart, Target, Staples, Office Max, Sears, Kmart, etc. Some are available in stores and some are only available online. It's easy to do, but can be a bit time consuming depending on the speed of your computer.

Check what type of battery it takes. Ive got a few of those type and the one i like most has a button battery so its not rechargeable.
Pawn shops usually have them new for 10ish $.

Look up luggage scale on ebay. The one I have reads to .1 lb increments up to 80 lbs (I think). It is small but you will need a bag to weight some items. Even the plastic grocery bags work good since they weigh next to nothing (not for 80 lbs though). I think if you are not doing gold/silver there is a big advantage to having the larger capacity. I use mine all the time.

LOL. I got a 35 pound Fish scale I use on my boat. Those are pretty accurate and you can put it in a tool box or something, not really big enough to put in your pocket.

Really think i'd like one with a flat plate, mostly be using it for stuff like candlesticks, incesnse burners etc etc. all that stuff ya flip over and says made in India

thats the one i use, 75 pounds, weighmax brand, there about $30 on ebay. I also have a small digital jewlers scale i use for weighing small light items. The combination of the 2 scales is enough to cover everything i do.something like this??
