I think they are worth more whole without the batteries than tearing it down to the board.

I pay $6/lb + for cell phones with no batteries and no backs. The "+" means if a phone is worth more than scrap, we pay you more. We have hundreds of happy customers and receive referrals every day.

We pay $12/lb for clean cell boards.

    We also pay for shipping.

Let me know if you are interested!

If any of them are smart phones, you might be able to get more than scrap for them by selling them for parts on ebay. There are some youtube vids on it, but prices may be out of date. just search completed sales for the parts of a particular phone on ebay.

$12/lb sounds like a nice pay day. What is "clean"?

Got a bit of insomnia so this is what I worked on.

What am I keeping to ship out?

    This is a LG VX8360.

Is there anything to recover in the keypad? I don't see anything. Looks to be entirely plastic.

Then I've got the board on the right. Leave that as is or break it down further?

    From left to right.

    1. Case. Nothing exciting there other than very tiny brass screw inserts.

There's a gold looking piece, but when I pried it up it was sticky like tape. Not seeing any value there?

    2. Screen. Has copper? with chips? embedded in it. Send that in whole? I went ahead and tore it down. Has a silverish sheet inside of it.

    3. Top is a speaker. Value? Don't know what middle is. Bottom that is circled is the camera eye. Appears to have gold on it. Assume I would send that in as well.

    4. Case. Circles have silver and gold colored pins. Try to remove or send in as is?

    5. Case. Has a few brass inserts.

Are these phones worth more than scrap? LG VX8360, Sanyo SCP-3200, and Blackberry Curve 8530.

Found the lil thingamajig that makes it vibrate. It's a half moon metal on a shaft. Interesting. Also found a very tiny magnet that has surprising pull for its size.

    Hey!

Good questions! I will put answers into the quoted post below with *******

Got a bit of insomnia so this is what I worked on. ****Melatonin

What am I keeping to ship out? ***See below with ***

    This is a LG VX8360.

Is there anything to recover in the keypad? I don't see anything. Looks to be entirely plastic. *********Not in this one. All plastic

Then I've got the board on the right. Leave that as is or break it down further? ******Photo is blurry but looks good from here.

    From left to right.

    1. Case. Nothing exciting there other than very tiny brass screw inserts.

There's a gold looking piece, but when I pried it up it was sticky like tape. Not seeing any value there? ****Not on this one, but some phones have gold bearing items embadded and atached to the plastic housing. Blackberrys are famous for this.

    2. Screen. Has copper? with chips? embedded in it. Send that in whole? I went ahead and tore it down. Has a silverish sheet inside of it. *****Sometimes there is a green board wrapped around/attached to the screen. Also, the flex cables are good. There is usually nothing "Inside" the LCD, except sometimes there are phones where the whole LCD and it's controlling boards are wrapped in metal.

    3. Top is a speaker. Value?*********Scrap metal. Don't know what middle is. Bottom that is circled is the camera eye. Appears to have gold on it. Assume I would send that in as well. ****Yes. Some of the items will be counted as boards and some will be counted as Cell Scrap.

    4. Case. Circles have silver and gold colored pins. Try to remove or send in as is? *********Try to remove if you have the time and inclination. Prefer not sent in.

    5. Case. Has a few brass inserts. *****Recycle locally

Are these phones worth more than scrap? LG VX8360**** SCRAP; Sanyo SCP-3200 ****SCRAP; and Blackberry Curve 8530 ***RE-SELLABLE!

Found the lil thingamajig that makes it vibrate. It's a half moon metal on a shaft. Interesting. Also found a very tiny magnet that has surprising pull for its size. ******Recycle Locally.

    I hope this helps! Jack

Yeah I took pics with a Blackberry. Wish I had a real camera.

Used to have a scanner and anything that was too big to close the lid on, I'd leave the lid open and lay a dark cloth over it.

    That thing had decent clarity.

msmoorad Do your research on import duties along with the costs of shipping. You may want to contact one of the buyers on the forum to see if they have any experience or advise on how to proceed. 73, Mike
