    I Can't Make Friends

I think I broke the site!

I have two computers- a Linux laptop and a Windows desktop at home. On the laptop, I cannot accept friend requests. I can on my desktop, and on my other Linux machine- a desktop at my office. I can accept friend requests there without problem.

I just figured you should be aware that there's either a bug, or a clueless user here.

    Anybody else experiencing this?

If you have some strange problems with this website on one computer, but no problems with this site on various other computers, the problem most likely lies within your computer

Try clearing your browser cookies, cache, history etc. All of it.

Then close down and restart your browser.

I reset everything and tried both Firefox and Opera. The button to save changes appears, but when I clicked it, nothing happened.

At work, running the same Linux distribution (Using Firefox), the Save Changes button works just fine.

Apparently, I'm still not allowed to bring friends home!

    Dear Admin,

Please Ban Hobo for daring to post such a horrible thing as Barney. I am deeply offended, an hurt over this.

Sorry Hobo you crossed a line. I shall need much therapy to get over this. You will be hearing from my yard.

    (I'm completely joking!)

An uh..no issues for me. Only issue i have with friend requests is via the app. Same with group join invites. Darn app likes to make my life difficult.

Sirscrapalot - HA! I laughed out aloud at that one Matt.

I'll sneak you in the window.

    As for the Internet,...

I agree that Hobo finds needs to be suspended for posting Barney-related content.

Can we keep the avatar, though?

it may be the browser you are using in Linux.
    What distro & browser?
Linux firewall may not like some of the changes either?

I used both Firefox and Opera on my laptop. It's a Dell Latitude D510 (Don't laugh!) running Xubuntu 14.04 on a Pentium M (Yes, it's possible, but PAE is a pain). Both do the same thing.

My work desktop PC is running Zorin OS 8. I used Firefox on it, and it worked right off the bat.

The firewalls on both should be stock.

For some reason, on the laptop, I cannot get it to come out of sleep mode, and Firefox crashes every once in a blue moon.

Other than these issues, though, the old D510 works pretty well.

I have a Dell 520 laptop that works fine. It was in a stack of 25 assorted laptops that were given to me about a year ago. I had to take it to work yesterday because my brand new work laptop won't run an old program I use to connect to voice mail systems. Newer may be better but it doesn't always get the job done.

Lucky! A D520 at least is a dual core machine (Most of them atleast).

The D510 will be with me for as long as it can serve its purpose. It was free. It runs Linux, which is awesome! If can watch Netflix.

But, it can't make me friends.
