Staples has changed the rules a bit, now the cartridges you turn in have to be purchased from staples. They also have to be purchased within a certain amount of time of turning them in. Not sure exactly but I think in the last 6 months. I am guessing you need the receipts.

I turned my cartridges in for January with no problems but, I know they are always changing their policy. Thanks for the heads up and and I will make sure to go over the new policy.

have not seen this on ebay before for staples exactly ink yes so funny.
but auburn im not sure who told you this but the program is still the same as in you can turn up to 10 for recycling each month for $2credit each can recycle as many as you wish but only credited for 10 each month.
as long as you buy $60 a year worth of ink which has to be $30 every 180 days and the cartridges do not have to be purchased at staples that you recycle only the $60 worth of ink every year has to be and you do not need any receipts at all because its all digital and right there on your staples rewards card and online and on the phone app you can use in store as well.
so its still a awesome deal for ink even though its credit its still $180yr free minus a few minutes of time turning it and when you network with many people like I do it gets rid of a lot for recycling and everyone gets free ink and supplies and that's what I love best is all my shipping supplies and other supplies are covered this way.

Ya I got the idea when I stumbled across some other lots on ebay. Popular cartridges in good condition, never refilled go for pretty good on auction on ebay. I had enough ink cartridges for staples rewards for a couple of years so I decided to list half on ebay.

Im pretty familiar with the staples program. I drop off my 10 cartridges every month and buy my $30 worth of ink every 6 months which is nice. The problem is that I pickup and accumulate a lot more than 10 cartridges per month so, the program will never keep up with the amount that is coming in. So, if I have 200 ink cartridges I can save 30-40 cartridges for the staples program and auction off the rest on ebay. My new strategy with recycling ink cartridges is using 3 different avenues which works if you pickup a lot more cartridges than 10 per month and here are the avenues:

1. First, pick an ink cartridge buyer and save all of the ink cartridges that are on their price list. Save them until you have enough to send a shipment.
2. Second, for all ink cartridges that are not on your buyers prices list, save them for staples rewards until you have enough to comfortably send 10 every month. (I like to set aside 40 or so for staples rewards)
3. Third, once you have enough saved for staple reward for several months, save up enough to auction at least 100 cartridges on ebay.

Conclusion, So instead of relying on one avenue for ink cartridge recycling I do three avenues. So instead of just doing staples rewards, I do staples rewards+ ink buyer+ ebay auctions. This will only work if you get lot of cartridges every month.
