DeWalt versus Milwaukee Sawzall

No comparison the Milwaukee wins hands down.

My DeWalt packed in in for good this afternoon, stripped the gears this is the 2nd time.

Soon the DeWalt will return to China, went out and bought myself a Milwaukee, shy on blades grabbed a used one and that saw zipped right through the exhaust system like a hot knife through butter.



I'm a bit puzzled why this Milwaukee cuts better, but can see a savings in blades coming up.

To be honest I'm not sure I just know that it's a 12 amp saw with the quick change blade holder. I even left the plastic case and paper work behind where I had purchased the saw. I was in such a rush to get back home and cuts a few cats off this evenings load.

It cuts and thats all that matters to me.

never much used a Milwaukee cordless, but their industrial (was it 11 amp?) is a real sawzzzalll!

Milwaukee,like u said hands down. Dewalt is sh#t for saw zaws, I broke many of them.switched to Milwaukee now no problems. Lots of power and durability. U pay a little bit more up front but still cheaper than buy 3 dewalt sawzaws

Anybody else love the porter cable sawzall? I've abused mine about as much as a person could and it still chops right through things.

Interesting. My Dewalt has been to hell and back and still keeps on cutting. Only thing wrong with it though is the lever to release the blade broke off so I use a screwdriver to pop it open.

I have to agree my dewalt sawzall is like the AK-47 of saws....It works in mud, rain, and any other condition I have put it through (It is the only tool I leave out in the rain just so I can awe at it's durability)

I really like my dewalt, it does every task I want it too. Growing up, my grandfather always used Milwaukee and still does. Pick your color and start cutting :thumbsups:

I'll have to put that one on my list but what I really want is a Milwaukee 18v impact wrench but their so dang expensive, i tried to offer a guy on eBay $280 for one but he wouldn't bulge!

milwaukee is my pick hands down for alot of power tools. There grinders are worth every penny if you ask me...there cords suck...so keep a few cords from things you are scrapping and you should be good.

My little 6 amp Milwaukee Sawzall must be around 30 years old and still cuts whatever I need.

I personally just bought a bosch 12 amp and thing cuts like butter. I have never seen spoarks from cutting metal with a sawzall till I got this. Only problem is it dont like hb blades. Takes the teeth right out of them lol/

Jack bought the Milwaukee 18v impact and he claims to have removed the wheels off of 50 cars on one charged battery, I'm not getting enough aluminum rims to warrant the expense. But that 5 year warranty looks impressive.

I know this is a little off topic, but does anyone have any experience with Ryobi tools? Their recip saw is very reasonable in price and uses 18v batteries. Looking at it as a back up option to keep in the truck should the Dewalt break down.

ive had there drill it was good but it was the old one's from 04 with out li batterys. now i upgraded to a dewalt drill with li and its the best god dam drill ive ever owned...

My first tools set was black and decker (NEVER AGAIN!).

Then switched to Dewalt and Ryobi. Ryobi is decent, but I love my dewalt stuff!

I have used milwaukee on some jobs, and also will agree that they are very reliable and work real well as well. To me Dewalt and Milwaukee are both good!

My 1/2" drill is a Milwaukee (was my dad's), good drill.

He always bought Milwaukee over anything else.

Milwaukee by a mile, I will say Porter Cable is worthy (faster cut,less vibration) just don't know how durable they are. Milwaukee "Torch" blades are really impressive.
