    Electronics drive...

I heard on the radio yesterday that they are having an electronics "recycling" day at Sports Authority Field this Saturday. You guys in Denver could probably sit right outside with a pocket full of cash and offer people a few bucks for their e-scrap. I bet you would make a killing...

I just saw this link for unacceptable items... http://www.denverbroncos.com/fans/re...-round-up.html

Y'all could rack up on CRT's for free since they charge to take them and help people get all the other "unacceptable" items off their hands...

Electronic drives are not something you could bum stuff off of. Companies put a lot of money into setting them up and promoting them. Also they need to purchase permits and pay inspectors to inspect the handling and plans prior to the event.

You would get asked to leave quite quickly if not by staff by the police.

I did it last year..not at sports authority though..2 van loads of computers n monitors... 3rd time I showed up the manager was there n did indeed ask me to leave..said they were responsible for making sure items were properly recycled...tried explaining myself but to no avail..anyways couldn't hurt to try..

You never know till you try and as long as you don't have any other issues that they would haul you in for, I'm guessing you would just be asked to leave. This drive isn't going to be convenient for everyone either, so some marketing of your service done before and after would probably show a spike in business.

At the minimum you could go up there and hand out some business cards and do some networking. You might persuade some people to use your business if they see they can get paid for their electronics.

drozenski...I think it has less to do with permits and inspections and more to do with lost revenue. I am in no way encouraging people to do anything illegal (not that sitting outside an electronics drive is illegal), just simply imploring you to think outside the box on finding scrap.

I think it is a matter of physics. An explosive can only be used once.
