| Dismantling, Breaking Down & Maximizing Scrap

    help help help

    has any one broken down and analized the prices on the big HP or IBM servers 380 dls or any thing simular. got to submit a bid by tomarrow a bid by tomarrow.

    Wish I could help ya buddy. If you could get a better look at them it would be great, otherwise I would be going $10 each tops. That is my basic server price just like my basic tower price is $4

    Ill go as high as $20 on an old server if it weighs more than 100 pounds. Figure your gonna get about $10 for the case and the main board should be at least a 3 pound board. Rest is gravy. Really have to see it to bid on it though.

    OK, ya got me. The only ones I have had my mitts on were small ones. I would pay $20 each as well for 100 pound servers.

    LOL I plan to break down the old sun server I have in the garage. It weighs 125 pounds when I break it down ill do a post like I did for the UPS and weigh everything out.

    I just bought one from the trash co. I deal with and it had 6 hard drives and 2 big plug in power supplies plus 2 dvd drives and an alum. front on it. It was all I could do to throw it in the trunk of my car. Evidently the cpu's must be built right onto the motherboard.

    I broke one down befor that full weighed like almost 200 pounds had 12 hard drives 2 huge boards about 20 pounds of insulated copper 16 sticks of ram 2 486 cpus 2 cd drives a huge floppy drive and heaps of pins on a board about 3 inches wide and 3 foot long that connected the hard drives together I dont know the brand of it but it was a GREAT buy at 5 bucks lol oh and the case was all aluminum

    It had some oddball name on the front but the HD's were all matching Compac.

    thx, panic is over, were in, just going to take a couple of months for paper work to make its way through corporate. cant sell the stuff on ebay, we are on a net 30 payment.

    set up your own website ? part the better pieces out? what's a net 30? does everything got to be scrapped?
