Battery Powered Tools

I am looking for a sturdy set of battery tools. I need the light and I could use a good drill. (I currently have the newer milwakee but the battery dies quickly) I really want the sawzall the most. Has anyone ever tried this 36v one and is it really better then the new 20v that they have. Thanks

I got a set of Chicago tools from Harbor freight over three years ago and everything still works, battery's all still good. Except both sets the light fell apart. I will probably never buy a differnt brand. I do my best to find the cheap brands that work well.

Holy cow! I did not even know that there was a 36 volt set out there. How long has this been going on? You just made me happy in my pants. Not that I can afford to upgrade, but it is something to work towards in the future.

I also like that they are lithium-ion batteries. When the batteries go dead, you can get money for them. I don't think they develop a memory as much as the ni-cad batteries do either, which shortens the lifespan of them.

I have a Dewalt cordless recip saw and it does a great job. My only complaint is that the battery runs down after about 30 minutes of continuous use. It's my first power tool of this nature so I don't know if this is normal or not. It has a quick charge battery so it only takes an hour to give it a full charge.

P.S. Make sure to fully charge tools before each use. I used mine to cut up a metal frame, left the battery in the tool for a few days and then used it again on a rafter(big and triangle shaped) and the battery died after the first cut. I ended up using my very expensive saw as a handsaw and a quick job took a couple of hours! >_<
