    aluminum or stainless?

    weedeater shafts that is, non magnetic when i bend them then bend a little then snap im assuming like cast aluminum and dont throw a spark but if i remember correctly the label (sticker) said steel so still unsure but i do have like eight of them and correct me if im wrong but the engine blocks on those are cast aluminum correct?

    The shafts are usually aluminum on the weed eaters and the block, head, piston and pushrod are usually aluminum.

    The easiest way to check if something is aluminum or stainless is to hit it with an angel grinder and see if it throws sparks! If it doesn't throw sparks then it is aluminum. The engine blocks are usually aluminum, yeah.
