cast aluminum

Picked up a fresh price sheet the other day, and noticed under the aluminum section there are prices listed for cast aluminum ($.52) and die cast aluminum ($.32). Any thoughts on what the difference is? Yes I know I can just ask them, and I will, but I always like to have a second opinion.

I always thought die-cast refered to pot metal (zinc).

Die cast is zinc. Cast alum would be BBQ grill tops / bottoms, some patio furniture, etc. Hit it with a hammer and it will break.
