    Wire spool weight ?

    How much does a wood spool weigh ? For example a 1500 lbs spool of 4 awg wire. What would be just the wire weight ?

    They are heavier than they appear...i had some that were close to 7 feet tall and they were 800lbs each

    I had a spool of 4-0 triplex and the spool was probably 80-100 lbs at least.

    Thanku. I bid on a pallet of wire that put shipping weight not wire weight. I gestamated 100 lbs a spool
