    Computer systems clean out

I posted recently that a large factory was replacing their computer systems and that I would call them.. I talked to the IT guy and he was more than happy to let me have them after he destroys the hard drives! It will be 2-3 pallets at the end of the month! This was my first attempt at calling a business and it turned out great! Can't wait till Feb 1st.

Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.

Any time. Most likely tho...they will be around the 25 to 30 a pallet unless they are servers...thats where you can have 30+ to a pallet (the blade type servers...they are very skinny)

Yes they are worth more. The boards have more gold in them, Boards are around 2 to 3pounds where the avg desktop is one pound. They have a 50/50 on having a copper heat sink due to the smaller space they have for cooling and they have some more wire in them as well.

Here is the down side....they are a real nut case to take apart sometimes and take a good deal of time unless you know all the little tricks...ie..where to look for that ONE sucker that wont let you take X out.

Wear gloves. My brother cut the top part of his knuckle off on the heat sink...they are very sharp if you run your hand down it the wrong way.

This thread makes me laugh. The first time I broke down a server it took me about 45 min. I knew I had all the screws out but could not get the board out no matter what I tried. Finally I looked and there was a latch that released the board. Now if the boards don't come right out I always look for that little latch.
