Some different boards I've found recently

The first group of photos is of a board that is from some type of controler. Not sure my neighbor gave it to me.









Next of a printer card





Next is a game cube game board.








Here's some boards I got out of towers that came out of a small gas station chain. Total of about 40 towers. These are the bigest PCI's I've found yet.






The last pictures of the long pci's I've already sold so I know the value. What I am wondering about are the first three, the game cube mother board, printer board and the control board. Thanks for looking Mike.

Gamecube I'd try to sell as motherboard grade, the other two I'd sell as peripheral grade.

the gamecube is server if you only have a few...if you have a few pounds I will pay $5+ if metal parts fully removed.

There are about 10 main grades of motherboard scrap..Dose not always mean its worth grading to that point.

We grade our motherboards to 4grades and that's about as far as we take it. Going beyound that and you have to many gaylords taking up alot of floor space...alot of errors going into the wrong box when tossing things where they need to go and so many other factors.

Back (not all that long ago) they HAD to be graded on the "long" grade as I like to call it because the AMOUNT of time it took to do all the grading and regrading and ect. But over time and since the rise of gold the grading has become more slack and faster to do as the refiners want more scrap faster and not caring as much as grade...so prices have been adjusted to the fact that pci and isa boards are now mix.

In short...if you grade your PCI cards and ISA boards out and fill a gaylord of each..you will get less on your PCI but get a little more for the ISA....when in fact you could of gotten just about the same as a mix load that you did not need to spend the time in grading and you can sell sooner as you don't have to fill the whole box....hope this is easy to understand...its late and i'm pretty sleepy but you get the jest

i grade boards for buying. but they get mixed for processing.

you are selling your boards vs having them processed? makes more sense now.

What i meant was that the ISA boards have a higher scrap value to me.
I process a lot my boards and there is more PM's recovered, in general, from ISA than PCI.

I understand what you're saying easy. When i do send some boards in, i have always seperated them. As you say, i may be wasting my time.
