oops...thought I was posting the outside before I tore into it. It looked like a 4' tall space heater. I'll post that later.

note the rust on the power supply.

We do the same thing....They are just some extra coin to hit the bank when we have enough of a load....Every once in a while we get in one of the old "clicky" style keyboards and we have a guy who buys those straight from us....They are still used with some of the old POS systems.

Down here I have some programmers and other IT people who want them as it reminds them of there younger years when they where tap tapping away on a code that we all wish that was not made lmao.

Have you ever sold keyboards to people who wanted the letters? I have had a few people buy them so they can use the letters to spell something out on there house, mail box or some other project.

There is a girl in the area that makes jewelry from circuit boards, etc. She uses the keys to make initial rings. She showed me one that was a 3 finger ring with 3 initials on it that someone wanted. She has a high demand for the apple key and has me watching for them. I have not found any yet.

Thanks easy and cs for hijacking my thread....jk...it was good info....and thanks everyone for the cheers....I have 2 more of those monsters. BTW, are those chips removable...I tried very gently...should I leave them on ?? I took apart a 1991 smaller one yesterday and at first glance I was disappointed cause the chip was missing then I looked closer and there was a 486 right next to the empty one. I wonder if there was another 486 there once or there was just space made for an additional one. Can you tell I'm having fun ?

Yes sorry about that...it me and cs got to talking there!

If they are on the board and they wont come off thats fine...you sell the board with the chip on it...we call that a chip board and what it will do it bring the value of the board up. Now..I do not buy to many chip boards so my price is not very strong...but I'm at $4.30 on them.

I will say this...There are a FEW people that will pop up from no where and they can pay more than $7 or $10 a pound. Why they do..I dont really know..but its the only board they want...they pop there head up here in Dallas every now and then.
