    Scrap Metal Intro

Well, I finally got to make my first youtube.com video. Just a simply introduction video.

I am prepared for all the criticism, jokes, etc that I will get. That is alright though. I was tired as crap, (10 or 10:30pm when I made it), and a few of the pictures for some reason are showing blurry, which might be the software that was made.

The entire thing was put together using Pinnacle Studios 15, thanks to a recommendation from JackTheScrapper (can't think of his actual username on here at the moment, my apologies)

The future ones will most likely be done using Windows Live Movie Maker (thanks to biggerhammer for that bit of advice). However, it just depends on if there will be music, or what not in the videos, etc.

The pictures of different types of scrap metal you saw, probably won't do that again, since some was blurry, and not sure as to why.

I also realize that my head looks a bit BIG in the video...that was because, I was the one holding the cam corder while taking the video. My wife was going to do it, but we couldn't stop making each other laugh so hard to the point of tears! lol

Unfortunately, mine doesn't have a relay (where you can set it to record in like 15 seconds, etc or a remote to it, so there you go.

    Without further ado, enjoy!

See, now why couldn't the default picture that shows before you play the video, be of one of the pictures, instead of me? lol

I would have to agree with MDG. Good job thinking it through coming up with a nice little production.

Thanks guys. Means a lot coming from you 2, really. That video there, was like take 25 lol.

It was made using Pinnacle Studios 15, but they have older versions that do the same exact thing too.

I plan on trying to make a youtube advertisement, for craigslist. For that, I will use Windows Live Movie Maker, as you can add text windows and make them move different ways. If you look at biggerhammer's videos, that is what I am referring too.

You produced a very nice introduction for sure. Seemed to be extremely up front and credible. Oh, and towards the end at around the 3:48 min mark when your child chimmed in... that was precious really, hopefully you wont edit that out cause it actually fits quite well while adding reinforcement that you are family man.

    Once again, great job!

Yeah, she was upstairs watching a movie, and it went off, so she came down stairs to find me. I forgot to mention in the first post in this thread, that when I put my finger up to my mouth, that was telling her to be quiet for a minute so I could finish.

I am surprised no one heard her jumping up and down once she saw the cam corder lol

Thanks. I will be doing some action tear downs soon after Christmas. I am going to be getting a tripod to sit the cam corder on, and have it come with a remote control, so it will cut down on a lot of editing, etc.

They have quite a few from walmart for under $100, so I won't have to wait on shipping from ebay or amazon, but not have to worry about it getting lost or damaged either.

Thanks Ewasted....Like I tell everyone, I have owned quite a few different types of businesses since I was young (14), and after a while, I just got bored or lost interest in them.

Then I realized why, I was the only one profiting from them. I wanted to do stuff, where everyone profited, whether it was financially, or some other way.

That is why I still do real estate investing, kept on doing metal/junk/ and now electronic recycling, and why I started my auction company.

Great job there George! Me thinks you are on your way. Just one lil bit of constructive criticism. Pay close attention to the " uh's/ um's/ and you know's". Looking forward to more. Especially those breakdowns! Good luck!

Thanks Skylinejack. Yeah, I tend to do that sometimes. It is all thanks to a head injury that I had when I was real young. 2 of them actually. Sometimes my mind is faster than my mother or vice versa lol. Normally pretty good though lol.

I plugged in the SMF name in it, because this site and its members have taught me a lot, and the only main thing I regret, is not finding it much sooner.
