hello there
has anyone on here ever recycled books we recycling around 30,000 lbs a month we also recycle around 15,000 lbs of paper right now we are combining the books and the paper together and sell it as mixed paper at $30.00 a ton we do not have to do any work except haul them to the paper plant we are wounder if there is a better way to do this to increase our profits thank you any info our suggestions would be great.

Can u sell the paper and books separate, u should get way more for office paper

I have a amazon sellers account and would love to sort though a massive pile of dirt cheap books every month.

Definitely see if they'll pay more if you separate you paper products.

Here where I'm at in Ky,

Corrugated Cardboard-$40 ton
Newspaper-$35 ton
Mixed Paper-$30 ton
I do not have a price for office paper as I have yet to get a hold of a pile worth cashing in.

Here the place buys from the public just like a scrap yard, cash paid no ID required.

as a book and paper recycler the only way to sell your books is as mixed paper office paper should never be sold as mixed paper or should your newsprint

Don't know if this applies to you or your area, but here (NH) there are a couple different used bookstores that will buy textbooks and it usually doesn't matter how old they are. I've gotten anywhere from $2.50 - $25.00 per textbook. Maybe there is something like that in your area?

I get books from a thrift store I get scrap-metal from.
I take them to a store called "Wonder Books" in Rockville MD.

It's on the way to my stepson's place, so I wait until I go up there because they pay about $1 per book box.
I typically get a lot more$$$, but that's the expected amt. .
But that's the only place I know of that does such. (they pay more for DVD's and CD's too).

So My advice would be to search (and search) for similar nearby.
IF you find one, it'll pay off.

EDIT: other than that I'm getting into cardboard recycling soon, but my place pays just $60 per ton.
Guess they'd take paper too ,but not certain yet. Good Luck!

ive seen the big paper dumpster at the wonder books in frederick and was wondering how much they get for it.... havent taken any books yet dont really have much

O.K. let me see if I have this right ??? You said that all you have to do is( take it to the PLANT) . Is this to the processing plant or just to a larger recycling collector..????

Please do an search for MARCK recycling and contact them ,,I'm a driver for them "but not on the recycling side " so I can not give priceing ;;; And I do not know how far west that they go;;;
