Idk either, but I would like to know because I can get a whole dumpster full of the CDs and DVD and VHSs.

I read somewhere on the net that theres a machine that can cut a groove into the CD, just like on a record, & you can record sound onto the CD.

According to this Wikipedia Article, although recyclable, it's not profitable for companies to pay for them

Depending on your location, it may not be worth it unless you generate atleast 10,000 lbs of it at a time.

depending on the market, it is worth $.10 to $.15/lb
You want to keep the CD and DVD scrap separated to maximize the price as well. Must be clean and free of paper.

I hang a string of used CD,s around my nursery. So far it has actually kept the deer out which is a huge problem here on Long Island

Really, really! Appearantly, they don't like the random light reflections. I wish I had thousands more. I like having the birds around to eat bugs, but want them to stay out of my fruits & berries.

Can anyone give me some at least kinda recent pricing on magnetic media? It would be possibe for me to obtain a large amount of just the tape from inside the cartridges. One would think that the magnetic film seperated would sell for more $$$.
