I checked into this one time, granules were a little bit less than clean #2, but more than insulated. What part of Houston are you from?

its called a transformer, and the smaller ones are almost always copper. by me, they bill buy them as copper-electric motors. The larger ones which come out of microwaves and such tend to have one winding of copper and one winding of AL. the thicker gauge ones are usually the AL ones...

as far as granulating, you will not likely get any more than bare bright prices anywhere you go unless you have a large volume and work directly with a foundry. yards will not pay you more if its granulated or just stripped BB wire.

Or you could sell the chops to a wire processor. Now if only there was one on this forum.......

Sorry that is what we call the copper after it goes through the granulator.

You only get paid for 3 grades of copper. No point in grinding it into dust....
In fact, the yard won't like you very much after they get done cleaning up 5,000 lbs of copper dust, as opposed to some pipes....
Everyone one of you is 2 minutes too late.
