As a kid I used to collect stray golf balls lost in the woods, steams and ponds selling them back to he golfers.

When my kids were older took them out hunting, from a couple of plastic 20 liter pails cut out the bottoms replacing this with glass cut to size.



Using this modified bucket you can easily sight goods laying on the bottom of any stream or pond making recovery much easier, it allows you to penetrate the surface glare of the water.

The larger courses will not allow you to salvage balls, they actually put this privilege up for tender to the highest bidder.
