Every so often I will get an old tractor, car or truck that has sat for a longtime and the clutch may have rusted to the flywheel.

A simple fix, remove the dust or inspection cover from the bell housing hold a piece of brass stock against the flywheel then give this raps from an air chisel, turn the flywheel 1/3 turn and repeat. Have someone hold the clutch pedal down while you perform this operation.

Use a chisel with a very blunt end, usually one saved from being broken. Use a good air chisel with a 2 inch stroke not some vibrator from Canadian Tire or Harbor Freight.

If the unit your working on is in a remote location I have used propane to power my air tools, use common sense here guys.

After the clutch disk has been freed up, run the engine and slip the clutch for a moment to polish the rust off, your good to go.
