    Epson equity LT

Got a hold of a working Epson Equity LT lap top with the power cord and DOS start up disc, any idea what it may be worth? Found one for parts on ebay, asking 250 and one that may not work for 150.

I have noted that most of the ancient laptops out there are not worth a whole lot. You may find a couple collectors that want them but that is about it. I would keep an eye on the eBay auctions and see what they sell for and then go from there. Most often, at least in my experience, eBay is one of the best ways to set pricing for many things. A wise person once told me that an item's value is only as much as someone is willing to pay.

I just checked on eBay. I ran the completed listings and there was one on there that ended on Aug 23 that worked but no hard drive and failed to sell for $49.99. Does not appear to be a lot of interest. However, if you listed it and started it at $20 you may get some takers and that is still more than you would get in scrap value I am sure.

asking $250 does not mean anything. Completed listings is the only thing that matters as far as determining price.

    Thanks CS,

I have the two from EBAY on my watch list so i will follow them and see what happens. Considering I got it for nothing, even $20 would be great. I will wait and see.

    Parrothead,

I understand that which is why I posed the pricing question originally. Thanks for the pointer though.

No problem at all.....I was new to eBay at one time as well and it took a long time to learn it all. What is nice now is the fact that you can search completed listings without being logged in. Makes things a lot easier when you are using a tablet computer at an auction or sale somewhere and need a quick reference on what to pay for an item.
