Printer Question Epson dfx- 9000

I know someone has came across items when recycling that was in working order and sold it rather than scraped it.... here is what I have right now

it is an Epson DFX-9000 printer, the lady told me when I picked it up that it works, it was used in a shipping warhouse to process and print labels and slips for FED-EX. it hasnt been used for about 2 years..I can down load the drivers and manuals from the epson website but dont have either at the moment...

this sucker is big and heavy, and my daughter has a screw driver sitten next to me just itchin to help me take it apart a(she calls it workin on stuff LOL)

I am gonna try and post it on CL for a week or so, but due to lack of storage i cant keep it around long...'

its an expensive machine and I hate to scrap it if it does actually work any ideas on gettin rid of it..my try the pawn shop see what they can offer me on it.

Take a look at E-bay using epson dfx 9000 as a search and see what the market is. I just did and then looked at the completed results. The completed results show no sales whatsoever (red) except for one that went for around 600. It also shows people selling just the tractor feed and trying to get 150 or better but not getting it. I would throw it on there and start the bidding at $99 plus shipping and see what happens. See if you can hook it up, download the software and make it print. That would be the key to selling it for a good price.

what a coincidence today went and picked up a small load of comp stuff for $50. % comps, 4 servers, a great IBM clicky key board. and a couple of boxes of cords etc. 4 dot matrix printers , 2 okiedata, and 2 epsons one a np 570 plus this thing must be 2 1/2 ft wide. all 4 work. the down side is some one ramsaked the computers and servers then put them all back together, but they just got the obvious stuff, still ended up with 3 cpu, a a stick processor and several memorys they didnt recognise. they even took the triuble to glue the plug strips to the boards back on. guess from now on Ill have to tear them all down right in front of the seller.

We just bought 26 computers, 4 laptops, 2 printers, 4 monitors, and 2 large boxes of memory boards, mic-keyboards-cords, for $115. total.
There's my weekend work, keep me out of trouble,,,

Get the printers year, as older ones are heavier, but I feel it was made around 2006ish give or take. This means it has multiple capabilities. Start the bidding at $25-40 and buy it now for $55-70 but set a proxy that your comfortable with. I mean even $50-70 will be more than what scrap would give. Thru the email you can work out deals if they inquire. I run an eBay story so be sure to avoid USPS because the "merger/monopoly" with fed-ex and UPS means now they aren't responsible unless shipped this way. Also if you charge too much for shipping now, eBay asks for more money... Not to reimburse the person who was overcharged but eBay keeps this money. Yahoo auctions is good just might be quicker maybe not. Get $50-70 and be happy because shipping will be expensive (due to weight and size) and will be a deciding factor in the sale.

Wait that's a $3000 printer??!!?!??! Hold onto it until it sells man. Get $500-1000 but make sure the ink cartridges are almost full. God speed sir. I'm a bit jealous. DO NOT SCRAP THAT! I worked for Cartridge World and we never saw that type unless delivering to doctors offices.
