Weight of 1700 Eliminator Bolen's Tractor?

Got a call from a guy wanting me to pick up a tractor - Bolen's 1700 Eliminator about 17 years old and a two-wheel trailer frame. Any idea of the weight of that tractor? I tried researching it with no luck.

People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I did some Google searching and found some service manuals, but no weight.

Wonder if calling Bolens would get you anywhere.

We have a Bolen's garden tractor at the farm, I would estimate between 500-600lbs.

Mick, I think the Bolens tractor you have is a 5000 series tractor made in the 80's The weight will vary depending on if it is gear driven or hydrostatic. Take a look at this link. You will have to scroll down the list about half way and you will see the 5017G and 5017H. Choose whichever one you think you have and it will give a weight in the description. I think your looking at about 800 pds. Let me know if the link doesn't work.

I haven't seen it yet, but the 5017 series sounds like what he's got. Thanks. Kris Kringle, it and the trailer frame are free, so even better.

We have a bolens with the 18hp briggs engine and it's been a real workhorse around here. Even pulled a broke down van up on a car trailer with it.

that old bolen is worth way more on antique tractor sites then it is scrap, if it is like the one I have old 70's with hydrolics you could have a gold moine even for parts.

Ya, olddude is right, there is a big crowd that loves those ol bolens or any old tractor for that matter. I believe you could part it out for pretty good money if you want to take the time.
