    plastic TV housing

Hello All - I'm new to the forum and scraping. Thanks so far for a lot of great info and advice. I'm also still learning the lingo and "names" of scrap, so don't pounce on me for not knowing everything just yet !
I've scraped a few older TV's and got out of them what I know about so far. But have a few questions.
1 - is the plastic housing of the TV recyclable? if so any ideas on where to take it.
2 - how do you get the picture tube off and where do you dispose of it?
3 - I'm assuming the electronic boards can be recycled and should go into their "own category."

I've read a lot on this forum and have done some "searching" but still trying to understand exactly what is being talked about.

I've been in the construction and landscaping business for more than 20 years so am pretty familiar with the stuff that recyclable, I just need to learn the "tricks and info" of this particular trade.

    Thanks --- Tami

I'm having the same problem, Tami. My plastic and CRT's (picture tubes and monitors) is piling up and I haven't been able to find a buyer....not even a taker for crt's. Hopefully you'll have better luck in your area.

You might want to give them a call and see what they can do for you,, We're going to deal with someone local(I hope).
