Some questions on Scrapping

Hi guys, I just started out scrapping, and I have some questions about the business. Some friends of mine Scrap X-Rays, and I don't really know how that works. Where do I call to get them, what I say, n where do I scrap them?

I'm just starting out n I wanna be independent, I'm tired of relying on other people and all that. If anyone that is successful in this business can coach me or give me some advice I'd really appreciate it!

R, if you have "friends" who are doing this and they won't help you, maybe they aren't really friends. BTW, did you read the sticky by Hypoman in introduction section ??

this is a great forum! look around a lot before asking lots of questions because most of the questions have already been answered in one post or the other. lol KZ.....but beginning scrappers can't afford a tax attorney. Just you experienced ones making the big bucks.

X-rays can be hard to get ahold of. Any doctor's office that is just tossing them in the garbage can is violating HIPPA laws that govern confidentiality. They and other medical records must be shredded and is typically done by one of those mobile document shredding trucks that offer their services.

the only way I could see doing this is being one of those guys and seperating them from everything else as you shred the files. That would probably be more time consuming the the scrap value of them.

Just my thoughts on the subject.
