    Hello everyone nc here

Hi, my name is Herman but my user name is ptscrapper which stands for part-time scrapper because thats all I really plan to do is scrap cars mostly on a part time basis, so far I have sold only 1 car to the scrap yard for $259 plus the cat converter and the radiator as well as the copper. I still have the chrome rims that came off the car though, for some reason I cant seem to get them sold. Oh thats right im suppose to be introducing myself, so I guess thats done, hope to see more of you guys and ive been following this forum now for about a month now, awesome forum by the way and keep up the great work!

Welcome to the forum. As you have figured out all metal has value and some like the rims may have more then scrap value. You may have to keep lowering the price every few days until they reach scrap value then off to the shreder they go.

I just received 41.16 for 3 1/2 batteries(the 1/2 is a lawn tractor battery), came out to 44 lb average on the big ones at .28 lb/ $12.32 per battery. I'll do that all day long.

I heard that!! ; ) I can't hardly find a place around here that will even buy them. My local yard charges for them..lol...so I have to make a little drive but not a bad day if I can take about 20 a time.

I had a pretty good week this week, came across 2 vans on craigslist the first one was a f350 ford econoline 5520 lbs i paid $400 for it and the other one was a toyota previa about 3400 lbs plus 60 bucks for the cat and 6 bucks for the battery, yeai i know im stupid for selling a good van for scrap but im after that quick buck, i only paid $200 for it because the guy that sold it couldn't turn the ignition switch but i got it to turn and got a great deal. My junkyard currently pays .12 per pd for scrap cars.
