just a short couple of years ago this was common, many of the old timers who went through the depression, especially farmers saved every thing. I hav hauled nearly 50 free trucks cars and tractors out of mud fields free, and on occasion charged to do it. We being scrappers and there for mostly of a survival mentality, are usually much more in tune to the realitys if todays America. There are still a few out there that are not. so you will see this freebie treasure now and then , altho they are getting more rare. I would junp on this and be parked in the guys drrive way when he wakes up in the morning after anb add like that. can you emagine how many call this guy got.

by the way that 14,000 was one load, pulling a 25 ft trailer.

My 1990 dodge 3/4 ton I got free in a situation just like this. ir has 58,000 miles on it. the grandad died and the grand kids who inhereted the farm left it setting by the barn along with a 78 dodge for 7 years , never touched either one. the paont is faded and rust has det in on top and the hood, but I have hauled over 14,900 lbs across the scale with it. there is still undiscovered treasure out there and some times we get lucky. just my thoughts.

Keep in mind that everybody has to start somewhere. Not many start with the "big stuff". I remember one guy on here who started with a bicycle.

Showing my age,,,lol First time I seen lol, I asked my daughter what a LOL was; know what a lollipop was but was I missing something. I thought she was going to fall on the floor laughing at me, and I'm just standing there like an idiot, not getting it! She 21 and I'm 62,,, oh well.

Yep, another old saying here, you gotta walk before you can run. Just hang in and things will start raining scrap.
