    Today's ticket

I brought in some aluminum storm door and window frames and thresholds which I had cleaned. 40 cents/ lb for clean extrusions. The screen wire and frames brought 30 cents as irony extrusions. I would have thought that would have been graded as sheet. I had some aluminum plate that went in with the clean extrusion and some aluminum conduit that I'm not sure which way it was graded. Aluminum cans brought 43 cents. THHN brought 80 cents as #2 insulated, that was a disappointment.

I would have been happy with #2 insulated at $.80, the screen wire I get dirty alum price for it and the frame could have had plastic or zinc brackets holding it together and that could be why you did not get alum sheet price for it. How much did they pay for your irony extrusions?

The screen frames were clean too. Rubber splines and cast corners were removed. Brought 30 cents as irony extrusions. Next load will go without removing the corners.

    Your prices are not bad

    Dirty Alum by me $.14 - $.24
    Ext $.45 - $.55
    #2 ins $.45 - $.55

And good Idea leaving the screens as it if you are not getting clean sheet for them!

The THHN was 12 gauge, I was thinking #1 insulated oh well. Looking at other recent threads 80 cents IS a little better.

THHN should not be #2. THHN averages 82% recovery. There are yards paying over $1.20 for 80% recovery and yards with a THHN (10 to 14 gauge) catergory paying over $1.40. Heavier gauge is even higher.
