    Getting clients

I'm new to scrapping and all I do is drive around and find spots and ask if people wanna get rid of anything they have sitting around. Mostly farms where I'm from so that's the spots I've been hitting. I was just wondering what everyone else does to get people to either call them to remove scrap or find the spots themselves?

That is the best start and probably where most people start. Make sure that when you talk to these people, you leave them a contact number. Eventually they will be calling you back when they have something or a friend of their's does.

Get some cheap business cards made for this purpose. It is a small expense that goes a long way toward making you look professional.

Type into google free business cards. Vista print is the cheapest way to go.

Staples. I think mine were about $40 for 250 cards. I never liked those "DIY" ones - just never came out right.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I buy my business cards from vistaprint, they're always running specials I got 500 cards for 10 bucks, and they turned out great. Free shipping, took a little over a week to get them.

    http://www.vistaprint.com

coupon code for 250 premium cards, for 4 bucks, 250 free plus i think like 6 dollar shipping.

There ya go. Some nice advice on getting the cards at a good price. I get vista print e-mails all of the time, but have never used them yet. Good to hear that they are as good as they sound.

Yea, I ordered a double order of business cards from Vista print and when I got them(after almost 2 weeks) the print is so tiny nobody can read them, I am severely disappointed. Flushed over $30.00 down the drain,,,

business cards are only part of it. I also did up some fliers, and post them anywhere they'll let me, gas stations, panera bread, the indoor flea markets, you name it I've put up a flier. The computer shops I deal with have also been letting me put out business card holders with my card on it. Kind of a reciprocal deal, if someone calls me asking about fixing a computer I refer them off to one of them, and they refer scrap pc's off to me. Heck since I started marketing it as a pc recycling, not a scrap pc business the health food stores are letting me put up fliers.
