    Dell precision t5600

This fell in my lap the other DAY

These are the recent sold listings on EBAY.......The HD's have been removed as well as the GRAPHICS CARDS.....I put a cheap PCI express card in it and wow it worked........I am kinda at a loss of what to do........Looks like if I dump some money into it (HD and decent GRAPHICS CARD) I can get some pretty good CASH.......Oh well seems like a good problem to have

Absolutely Mike. For the price of a 500GB hard drive (or something around that size) and maybe a 1GB graphics card you'll get a nice ROI, but i'm not telling you anything you don't already know. Just curious how much RAM did it have? Always nice when you get something that has a huge potential for resale/profit.

128GB would be outrageous lol...I still see plenty of listings sold with 16GB. What size processor/s?

Well you shouldn't have any trouble unloading it after adding a hard drive and graphics card. Seems a lot of those are going for $1000 plus, based on ebay sales. Always nice when something like that falls into your lap. Congrats and let us know what you're able to get out of it, if you don't mind of course.

    Grass is always greener... lol
Yeah I live in a rural area predominately old folks I believe 60% of the town population is 50 or over...New technology?
surplus was store rooms in town businesses, schools, and the local clinic and and me and another scrapper systematically went from one end of town to the other and scooped up everything..It will take years for those piles to re accumulate
I get every PC thrown away in two towns, that equals around 100 a year give or take.

I'd throw a hard drive in it, and a decent graphics cards (They likely came with either an ATI FirePro or an nVidia Quadra of some type), and sell it like that.

Unless you're a Registered Refurbisher, the cost of legally licensing the machine will be prohibitive. You'll make a nice chunk on it as she sits though!

Then, you should be good. I keep a "Cheat Sheet" for licensing on my wall- it's very crucial to know that.

You should be able to install, enter audit mode, install your drivers, and be good to go! Throw some big HDDs in there, and you'll have a good payday!
