    Talking Theresa from Chicago Suburb

I found this forum today and it seems to be pretty interesting. My name is Theresa and I work for Redline Metals in Lombard, IL a suburb of Chicago. We specialize in processing non-ferrous Metals.

I've been with my company for a little over a year, and have realized there is always something new to learn in the scrap business, so hoping to gain some knowledge, and possibly give some insights. Thanks for having me!

Oh, and check out our website www.redlinemetals.com

    :-)

Welcome to the Forum, Theresa. Ironic, I was thinking today that it would be good to have a scrapyard dealer insider's viewpoint sometimes. Chime in whenever.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

It depends on a few things. For example, the labor involved for our guys in the warehouse, thats why places pay better for clean material. We also have to account for the market changing. We can't ship out until we have a full truck load of material. There is no set mark up.
