    Things Were Going Well

I just started scrapping about three months ago to earn extra income. My goal was to earn about $1000 a month a move up from there. I was getting some good stuff from auctions and was doing pretty good. I was focusing on steel and SS which I knew I could turn pretty quickly. Then I started being more tired and worn out. Well six weeks ago found out I had throat cancer. I had two surgerys and start radiation and Chemo. this week. I just want to say thanks for all the information. When I'm 100% again will use the ideas.

Hoping for a good recovery. Let us know when you start up again.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I'm right there with you brother. I got married in November of '10 and last day of honeymoon wound up in hospital ER that night, I had pneumonia and then they discovered I had stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma (lung cancer) so I have been doing chemo since then, I have 4 more treatments left and hopefully i'll be done with it. I'm only 23 years old. Its frustrating some times realizing what I used to be able to do I cannot do anymore but overall i'm handling it pretty well. I hear radiation is easy, they didn't prescribe me any. But chemo, hold onto your butt. It will very likely zap whatever energy you have left. Your stomach may be pretty upset for a while after a treatment, some people experience a good bit of nauseous feeling during and after the treatment. Everyone responds to it differently. My first treatment was by far the worst and the second was rough but after that it got better. They still drag me down a lot but you can't let it stop you.

Good luck and private message me if you need someone to talk to about it or anything.
    Eric

Indeed, we are all praying for you. I know what it is like to scrap your A$$ off and figure you could maybe earn more at McDonald's! I spent 2 & 1/2 years on unemployment, got diabetes, kidney stones, high blood pressure etc. Really, it was not having a job and having to depend upon the whims of the "scrap gods" to supply even basic needs.

But God came through for me. We never starved, we always had a place to live, I have a good job in North Dakota now and I am earning extra money just like you were by scrapping on the side. Still don't have my family here after a year, but I think we are really close! We will keep praying that God will grant you a full recovery. May God bless you Sir!

    Jeff
