500 feedbacks, my star's color got changed!!!

Party down, I crossed the 500 feedback threshold on ebay the other day. I got a purple star now, I must be special (just kidding)!!!!

I think I've probably bought less than 10 things on ebay so the vast majority of my feedbacks are from selling. Only took a dozen years

I find some of the sellers almost begging for a 5 star feedback, that kind of turns me away.

I'm not up on the alls the ins and outs of ebay (and it probably costs me some coin) but for folks doing it full-time or at least a good amount of their income, there's an advantage to gets rated super high. Their ebay fees are reduced. For me, I pay a greater percentage of fees vs. what a item sold for when it is a "smalls" than on higher priced items. Unfortunately for me, higher priced items are fewer and farther between than "smalls" I can find and sell...

DokotaRog - I don't know how much you sell, but do the math on the final value fees that you get with a store subscription (around $15/mo). You get lower final value fees that way. For example for the computer/networking category, final value fees for stores is 4%, and you sell a bunch of RAM for $100 with shipping included. If you don't have a store, the final value fee is $10 (10%). If you do have a store, the final value fee is $4. It could pay for itself.

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

I'd check into the store, too. I have a basic store for that reason. Plus, you get 150 free insertion fees on BIN listings per month.

    On the new star:

it also helps to leave the buyer good feedback first and then they are more likely to leave you good feed back.

Having more active listings will also help haha. And if you guys think people are lazy in leaving feedback on eBay, try Amazon.... People are so much more lazy to leave feed back on there.
