    Wire - wieght per length

Some of you may find the chart at the following link useful. It gives copper wire weight per length (in addition to other info). From the chart, I calculate that one meter of stripped two-conductor, 18 gauge lamp cord would yield about 15 grams or a half ounce of copper. Another example, a 100 ft. three-conductor, 18 gauge extension cord would yield about 685 g or 1.5 lb. I was expecting more so you may want to check my math.
