Any advice on scraping an 85 dodge d150 5.2 L?

I have this old 85 dodge 5.2 L sitting at my house that I want to get rid of. My question is what is the best way to scrap this sucker out?

Is it worth trying to pull the engine and transmission out separate or just leave them in and sell it all whole?

Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks a million.

If you can't scrap it yourself, you could call someone, should be worth at least 250. try CL

If you have the time to maximize your profit, you might do Ebay or Craigslist or one of the many Swap sites in every commuity via Facebook.
But then again, when you part it out, there's a waiting period between scrap and sale and you're inviting strangers to your premises who may want to haggle over price. You'll also apply alot of time taking it apart and may need to buy more tools etc. I recently hauled one to the scrapyard just like your 85. Don't remember the weight exactly but guessing it was over 2 ton. The price locally is $95 a ton. Not a great return, but it's a Load 'N' Go situation. I've seen people drive vehicles into the scrapyard, take the battery out and walk away.

First thing I do is list on Craigs as Parting out 85 1985 dodge 5.2 L

    Number 1 >>> The CAT

Then if you want to sell parts on eBay >> Check what has been selling >>
85 dodge -hose -1/24 -kit -scale | eBay

I pull the easy to pull and easy to store and easy to ship parts >> IF they are selling for a decent price
If you have a place to pull parts (make a mess)
    Battery
    Radiator
    AC Condenser
All the copper wire you can grab in 10 mins
    Then move to the Dash
    Heater core
    AC heat exchanger
All the copper wire you can grab in 10 mins

Pull Aluminum rims if it has them

Once I load on the trailer for the trip to the squisher
    THEN, and only then
do I cancel the Craig ad
