what would be a fancy work truck?

The neighborhoods I service for my real job, scrap near, and live near are filled with Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Jaguar, etc cars and SUVS. If I were wanting to get a work truck that would fit in what would it be? Does Jaguar make a F-350 clone? Just figuring someone on here would know. Thanks.

A jacked up new Chevy 1 ton, king cab, long bed with bull balls hanging from the rear bumper would surely make you stand out!

I think Lincoln still makes a pickup i believe. Mark LT I think it was.

I get lots of "That's a nice truck" compliments on my plain, work-truck model Ram 2500. It's silver with the chrome bumpers, cab clearance lights and factory fake chrome wheel covers, and it does look pretty sharp on the rare occasion that it's cleaned up. I've seen plenty of trucks almost identical to mine, but with the dull black bumpers/grilles and steel wheels.. and they're ugly! They look like a construction company fleet truck. Sometimes, just a few low-level "appearance" goodies can go a long way and yes, make a big difference in how others perceive the truck.

If I were to do it in style I would go for a Lincoln Blackwood, just like the way it looks. You could always get a Mercedes Unimog, they are unstoppable and hey its a Mercedes. Old Land Rover trucks are good too if it has the Rover V8, same identical engine as a Buick 215 so you can toss the side draft carbs and put on a 2 or 4 bbl intake.

It mounts on a pickup truck frame.

I'll go the other way- sure, anybody can buy a new truck if you have enough money or credit. But, how about a sharper old truck? You don't see them everyday. Even though it's far from perfect, and looks better in photos, my 1987 Chevrolet turns a lot of heads:


Plus, it's a whole lot cheaper than an F150 Platinum! If you have the money, consider going even older. There is a man in town who restored a Studebaker Champ- that truck catches my eyes every time it goes by!

I think this is one of the cooler member trucks we've had on here, no offense to all the others. This member just took it up a notch by actually cleaning it up and still making it a "work" truck. And could have entered it into a car show if he wanted. In fact he belonged to a car club as his "other" hobby.
