    Interesting British Scrapping Documentary

Hey guys, I found this video a couple weeks ago and I thought it was pretty interesting. The thing I found most surprising is that this particular scrap yard takes CRT Televisions and Moniters for shred once you break the glass inside the yard.

Cringed at the lady with sandals. The breakdown at the yard is interesting. All the scrappers in the show are so.... "clean".

I literally just watched this a few days ago. Yeah I found that amazing too that they break everything apart in the yard and then leave all the non metal.

Hi the tag may give it away...
    Here in the UK.....

Just a few probs. with the program.....

CRTS no yard within 50 miles of me takes them let alone lets you 'break' scrap of ANY sort in the yard , insurance companies would shut the yard at once.
Cars with tyres , oil of any other fluids a no-no.
A lot of wood, plastic or other none mettalic bits again a no-no.

Yes there are lots of scrap people about but most just 'get by' ...the cost of fuel.insurance and insurance is realy high so to earn £2000.00 a day would mean collecting 20 tons doing less then 50 miles ....

Yes you can make money but this program is a bit of a dream!

take care , be well , scrap hard

A few years ago, our scrapyards took CRT monitors for about .10$ / lb ( 0,15€ / kg )
