To help you out figuring, I have a gaylord of motherboards level with the top that has approximately 450lbs in it. Inside dimensions are approximately 36" x 44" x 38".

LOL after handling so many boards over time, I can imaging it would be like rolling around with a bunch of cheese graters. The little pins on the backside of boards take a toll on your skin!
I like rolling around in my cell phone box though...

You bet, it was just a coincidence that I had one of these on my scale. It all depends on how it's packed though I guess. I bet if i dropped kicked it 10 times, it would settle a bit =)

I think you're very close. Ryan's gaylord is right at 35 cubic feet divided into 450 lbs = approximately 12.8 lbs / cu ft. Your 8 fot bed 5 feet wide and 20 inches tall (lets go 18 to be easier and make up for the wheel wells) is 60 cubic feet. 60 x 12.8= 768 lbs $2000 divided by 768 lbs is $2.60 per lb price you need to reach your goal.
I had a box this week of motherboards that I packed tight and ended up with 56 lbs in a 2.5 cubic ft box for a 22.4 lb/cubic foot. Your truck would hold 60x22.4= 1344 lbs if you got them that tight. That would be hard to do in a truck bed, but with stacking you should hit somewhere between those figures.
Also depends on where you are going to sell and the price you will get for them. Keep this in mind when you get there, where ever there is. If you are going to delivery it yourself make certain you will get cash or a check you know will be good. Please be careful, half the battle is finding processing, packing and shipping the other half+ is getting paid. Don't express you NEED to get $2000 to the buyer he will smell desperation. If it helps, this was a $2200. load delivered. M'boards and all associated cards, memory, processors, etc. Finished the load off with power supplies.

is it odd that I have always wanted to roll around in e-waste?
well large enough lots, I know I have tripped, fallen, and crawled of piles of e-waste, but how fun would it be to just do it for pleasure
Every time I have to move in my shop I feel like I'm rolling in the e scrap. Guess it's time to clean up again.
