Also take out the part about your buddy and that he gave it to you.

I've had a few new boxes that I've come across. Part it out. Sell the breakers and the bus bars, and scrap the rest is my suggestion.

Sorry to tell ya.. but you can buy one brand new at Lowe's for $91 bucks

    Shop Square D 20-Circuit 20-Space 100-Amp Main Breaker Load Center at Lowes.com

Drop it to $70-$75, let someone wheel and deal with you on it and you may be able to sell her off for around $50 to $60

I would revise it and keep it simple. Statements like " Im just putting a wild number on it, but not really expecting to get that" or "Sorry for the pics. Took with my cell phone. If you need better, holler at me. And I will get the digital camera out and take better pictures"...should never be in a listing!! Below is a quick edit. Things in red I would remove and blue I added. Just my thoughts.

Like new - Standard D 100 Amp 20-Space Circuit Breaker Enclosure with breakers. Appears to be new. Was Installed, then removed, due to foreclosure. but don't think it was never used. I was told by my buddy, who gave it to me, this. It was installed in a house they were converting into apartments. The original owner ran out of money and the bank foreclosed. So when my buddy bought it, he took it out. Since he didn't want any apartments and converted the house back into a single again.

I do not the true value of the item, so please send a reasonable offer. Please keep in mind Im giving you free ship as well. Im just putting a wild number on it, but not really expecting to get that.

I do know the breakers are probaly worth more than the box.

Your are getting the 100 amp Main and Includes 5 20 amp breakers.

Sorry for the pics. Took with my cell phone. If you need better, holler at me. And I will get the digital camera out and take better pictures.
(Take better pics and upload them!!!)

Thanks for Looking and Have a Great Day!

So, the revision would be shorter, to the point, and without any excuses or apologies. Below would be more how it could read.

Used/Like new - Standard D 100 Amp 20-Space Circuit Breaker Enclosure with breakers. Was installed, then removed, due to foreclosure.

    Includes 5-20 amp breakers.

Once positive feedback is received, I will reciprocate. Before leaving negative feedback, please contact me so we can work together, to resolve any issues.

Thanks for Looking and Have a Great Day!

Again, just my 2. Others here may have better ideas.

    Good luck on the sale!!

You got lots of great advise on this item. Here's mine on all other items you want to sell.

Don't re-invent the wheel is its already round. Look at other listings of they same item you are selling. Pay very close attention to the ones that have sold. Generally they will be simple but with enough information to let a buyer know the condition of the item.

On the length of time for a listing for me if there pages of that item then I do a short term listing. If there are only a few items I go with a longer term listing, generally speaking. Mike.

Hope it works for you. I've had several breaker boxes over the years - several like that. Never been able to sell a one. I just scrapped the five I got a few months ago.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

The first thing that comes to mind on this one is you need to put the SQUARE D name in the title. Most people are finding items by searches and they won't find this box when doing a title search for "Square D".

The other suggestions are good and should help, though I've actually had much better success selling these locally to farmers for grain bins or farm barns instead of auction. Many electricians won't install used equipment, but do it yourself people will.
