    Converter value.

Hi all first post although I've been lurking for a while. I just got a van and trailer to start recycling cars on the side.

I got my fist cat, but I don't know what it is categorized as. It came off a 1996 passat Tdi. It has two bungs in it on front and rear. Looking inside likes like a black honeycomb or screen.

Thanks for any help. I have a lot of work to know what cats are what.

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried to post the photo, but I'm not allowed to link to photobucket yet. I tried to put it in an album here but it is too large.

Looks like a small foreign value around 50-70.00 bucks from the right buyer.

If you can, I'd advise holding onto it for awhile to see if the price goes up. Good thing is that they don't take much space and price fluctuates a lot. I'm holding into what I've got till probably next Spring.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Hmm. I have the room to hold on to it. How much fluctuation is possible season to season? I know its based on precious metal pricing, just curios how that would translate to an average converter.

If it is full that is a small foreign.Worth $50.00-$80 i will but it if you want to ship it to me thx.Prices change every week.I wouldn't recommend holding onto to it for months right now the prices are decent and holding but may drop in the next few months due to the government crap.

I just turned in mine today, Prices down just slightly
    Large Foreign $140
    Large GM $114
    Large $74.00
    Regular $56.00
    Pre $28.00
and of course the every present after market for $4.00
I hate to use the $2.50 SawZall blade to cut off a $4.00 Cat but I just can't bring myself to let a car roll across the scale on my trailer with a cat still on it

The $2.50 was off the top of my head >>
    Actual prices of last purchase >> 9" 10 TPI The Torch™ Sawzall® Blade (100 Pk) 48-01-7713 >> 100 pack for $239.99 to the door
So really only $2.40 a blade
    and also the 6" >> 48-01-7712 Milwaukee 6" 10 TPI The Torch™ Sawzall® Blade (100 Pk) >> 100 pack for $189.99 to the door
So really only $1.90 a blade

Those prices are 100 each >> Shipped to my door
Purchased from this guy on ebay
The blades are drop shipped direct from Milwaukee factory and are the real thing
Link is to all the blades sold in 100 packs >> Currently 45
milwaukee (100 pk) from greatlakespowertools | eBay

This LINK is to everything he sells >> Currently 2100 things
    greatlakespowertools | eBay

I don't know about his other things, but the blades seem to ship same or next day
After much searching, this Seller seems to have the best service and also the best price

I recently got some of those torch blades and was impressed, cut thru anything don't bend easily and cut, cut, cut and
Cut some more and still going strong. Use to run cheapos but they either bend or break quick so to me, the expensive ones are in the long run, cheaper.

I like diablo's too. I bought a cheap white one at OSH and it's lasted a long time too, but I can't remember the brand off the top of my head.
