My bet is on 2 hours...an hour to argue with himself if it's worth it to drive back or not, an another hour deciding which to buy.

There will be a lot of heavy hitters from around the country there.. I think this auction company had better "eat their Wheaties" because I don't think they know what kind of $hit-storm they have just unleashed.. I envision global buying with phone, internet and live auction bidding.. this is as big as they are hyping it to be.. Being around old cars and old car "guys" my whole life- I can tell you this will be one that people will say "Were you there in 2013 in Nebraska?"

There is a possability that the rings in the engines are rusted and will need to be torn down and rebuilt. The automatic trans will possibly need new seals and be reworked as well. They should have washed them before the video. Should still be a nice sale wish I had the time to go.

I would agree, the worse thing you can do to a car is not drive it

But they have no miles. Thats awesome. The people going to this auction and going to bid. I'm sure are not worried about what it takes to get it to run.id love to buy one of those trucks. Thats awesome stuff there.

This is why i wish i lived in the states. Canada has nothing like this. Im always online searching for stuff like this. Zio, zero and nadda up here.

Anyone hear about the MASSIVE antique car and petroliana auction in illinois last fall? Just north of chicago i believe. This older fellow passed away and collected everything. cars from the 1900s and up, gas pumps, signs, everything. If i can recall i think he had something like 50,000 sq ft of stuff. And it was packed. I mean like tiny isles connecting it all. All very neatly organized. Im gonna see if i can find pics.

Me and my dad almost made the trip out there, but we couldnt close the shop for a week. Oh ya, the auction took a week to clear it all out. That was a once in a lifetime auction. So bummed we couldnt make it out.
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...

Cory Thanks for posting this and good luck out there. I went to the auction site and they have a bunch of cars and trucks outside in the field most have been sitting under trees. The auction lady said bidding starts at shred price and if folks want to pull parts and leave the carcass that is ok. I'm thinking there may be allot of left overs after all is said and done.
