I have been unable to identify this solid brass item. Anyone know what it is?

My guess is it's the "horn" for a phonograph/Victrola or similar type device.

I can't make out the patent number. Might try doing a patent number search.

With that threaded end, another thought I had was a nozzle for a fire extinguisher, but a search doesn't show anything like that.
