    Eheim Water Filter System

I trash picked this today expecting to find a motor to pump water, but found this instead:

I have never seen something like this before, and I don't know what to sell it as. Should I bust it open, or sell it whole? If anyone knows what it is, I would appreciate it. Thanks y'all!

I think that is the top of a protein skimmer for a salt water tank? If you bust it open all that is is a submersible pump.

Maybe so. All I know from research is it's for aquariums and it filters water. LOL I will bust it open later to see whats inside.

I'm not too sure actually. I tried to break it open but the silicone stuff that it was filled with made it impossible to open. I'm pretty sure there was a motor inside because of the rotating plastic on the bottom. I just tossed it in my motor bin. The guy at the yard looked at it for a second and just tossed it in with the rest of the motor's.
