Fujitsu F9600 PBX looks full of boards

Won these at an auction today for less than $65. After speaking with the custodian at the Washington County School Board, he said there were 3 of the larger units, 1 small unit, power chords, and a ?rectifier? I'm going to need to take a day off from work to get these things like I did 2 months ago for the EMC Server Racks.

The Custodian told me these are still hooked up but they have upgraded their system and these older models need to go. They were installed in the late 90's. Hope to make a pretty penny on these.

I thought there was only supposed to be one of these....they kept finding more of them back in the storage warehouse and gave us 6? Full of boards.

Part of the Inverter. Copper Bus Bar.

    Lots of Backplane Boards.

I've looked through some of the boards. I saw I386 DX and some other Gold Caps on some of the boards.

More pics to come. 10 pic limit.

how many back plane boards did you get. Some of those with the small pins have a good yield.

Snow has put a bit of a damper on our operation. We're moving everything inside to start sorting. We've already gotten rid of most of the steel. Took it to the scrap yard before they closed. Tonite, we're going to sort the cords and take those to the scrap yard in the morning. Already paid for the truck and fuel just from the steel.

Great score. Please don't forget to check the connectors on the ends of the cords for gold plated pins. Mike

HOLY BLEEP!!!! Stuff like that gets bid way up to the wayouttasphere at all the auction sites I know of around Dallas area.

Simple PCs & laptops end up at roughly 10 bucks per unit MINIMUM... often even more... unless they're way out of the metro area. Last one I bid on was a lot of 45 PCs, I put in a max bid of $180. It sold at $555.

There's an interesting item that's only at 45 bucks right now, but it's way down in Kileen... I'm not sure if links are allowed here, but if Gravitar or any other central TX folks want it PM me. Or just figure it out from the URL of the pic below.

Yesterday, I had the beginnings of what felt like the flu, achy bones, coughing up bits of lung, the works. So I went to bed early. My gf's son and a buddy of mine who comes up for the weekends sat in the back of the Ryder truck I had rented for this job and cut ends off of cords and broke down more of the units. They put a heater and flood lights in the back of the truck and sorted, snipped, and broke stuff down till 1:30am. This morning, they took the truck to the scrap yard before noon closing time and cashed in the insulated wire. $488 along with about $37 in more scrap steel.

There must be over 30 pounds of connectors that look like this after they were done.

Here are some of the choice boards that came from these units.

OH OH...gf's yelling dinner is ready...bb later with some more pics.

Each of these smaller boards weighs 1.5 pounds and measure about 12"x14". I haven't counted yet but it looks like there are over 100 boards stacked out in the garage.

There were also, two different styles of backplane boards.

There are 11 of these double sided that weigh 2 lbs 14 oz.

7 of this style backplane that weigh 2 lbs 11 oz. I'd imagine this style would be worth less?

Seeing these, I'm feeling better already and will most likely be in the garage all night breaking down more stuff.

Never underestimate small local government auctions. Sometimes they have only a few items, so no one bids. My local ones are all sealed bid. About three years ago, while everyone was focusing on a truck-mounted plow, I ended up getting a 40-passenger bus for $105 ($145 less than the plow!). It ran and I sold it as is for plenty of profit. Check those classifieds folks!
