isa and pci cards worth more than scrap value

Certain isa and pci cards are worth much more than scrap value. I found an ultra33 ide pci card worth $15 and an seagate st11r isa hard drive controller card worth $50 in the last batch of computers i scrapped. Almost all isa cards are worth more than scrap value, some are worth alot more. feel free to post your finds or ask questions in this thread

I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE

Like what vintage? pre-2000's? Can you give an approximate year range for when the computers were made?

I think I remember an extra ISA slot on motherboards still in the mid to late nineties...so before that.

Can they be sold for more than scrap if they cannot be tested?

Here's one I pulled out of an IBM PS/2. It says "Advantage", "AST" and "202051-001 REV.R" on it. Did not find any auctions with this card on eBay so don't know whether it's worth more than telecom grade scrap.

By far the best time to check one out is before you pull it apart ; ) That's a mempry card, likely should be above telecom.

It may still sell as untested, but if you had only powered it up before breaking it down you could have used a "working pull" or something similar

Yes, the machine I took it out from booted partially which is what I will say if I put it on eBay.

Not with all those RAM chips on it, it must be a RAM card as well (multi function).

I don't recommend them for shipping, or for show and tell, but liquor store boxes make great card holders, if you'll get the ones with all the cardboard bottle holding slats still there. They're ready made card holders which usually hold the card by the metal bracket, basically hanging free there, and leaving the socket or plug showing so you can readily distinguish the video cards from network cards etc.
