Orginal scrappers

Dont know if this has been mentioned here before, But last night I was watching Star Wars, the orginal one. And there is these little sand dudes, picking up droids and other metal and throwing it in the back of there big old mover. The inside looked like nothing but metal scrap. So fast foward too today Old Pickup truck, R2D2 is a washer, and C3P0 is the ,, ummmm dishwasher, dryer, load of brass, nice bike. you pick... Anyone ever notice this before?
