board trimmings gold fingers / solid plated

The first 2 pictures is a lot of solid plated cutoffs, 1 ounce weight, I sold it for $50. Yes $50 for 1 ounce, but the bulk of it is off of the extremely thin ribbon cables so not much substrate weight at all. The 3rd picture is trimmings off of lcd boards. I separate the cut off trimmings into fingers and solid plated. I sell the fingers for $8 per ounce and the solid plated for $12 per ounce. Was wondering if anyone else does this and what prices your getting. I get about 20% trimmings by weight from the lcd boards, so 2 pounds of fingers and solid plated for every 10 pounds of boards. Basically i double my investment, plus i can still sell whats left of the boards after the majority of the gold is cut off as high grade boards, $4 per pound.

I'd love to know where you're getting $128 per pound of fingers. That's even a fair bit higher than they usually sell for on Ebay.

Any idea how much gold 1 pound of single sided fingers would yield? The substrate on these lcd fingers is alot thinner than the substrate board on pci fingers.

The substrate on these is 50% thinner or more than pci fingers. So you get alot more fingers by weight. Also these dont have alot of blank areas like with pci fingers. Yep im getting in the $120-$140 pound range for these fingers. $200+ per pound for the solid plated stuff. I havnt sold any latley its been a few months. But i suspect these prices can be easily had with gold at $1730+. I have about 1 pound of each in stock right now.

Going by the gold refining forums, seems the average for a pound of fingers is around 2 grams, and that's mostly double-sided fingers. I'll definitely have to keep my LCD fingers in a separate pile.

Thats horrible. I get better money selling them as fingers than having them refined. 2grams of gold is $110 and im in the $120 -$140 range for a pound.

Yeah, like I said, that's an awesome price. If you don't mind sharing who you sell to (if it's a company that buys from the public, and not just a private individual), I'd like to see if they're an option for me as well perhaps.

They are the fingers in the bottom of the 3rd picture. The boards come out of lcd/led monitors and are 12-16" long. Also come in lcd/led tvs. Not sure about plasmas. I trim the finger part off of the board and any areas that have solid plating. I then cut the 12-16" strip of finger down into 4" lengths for shipping purposes. For every 10 pounds of boards i get about 2 pounds of fingers/solid plated. I sell them on ebay. Have about 4 pounds of these i havnt put up for sale yet.

heres a couple lots i have up right now, im going to be redoing these soon im gonna have solid plated in one lot and fingers in another:
gold lot scrap ultra high yield 1 ounce gold fingers / trimmings solid gold | eBay
gold lot scrap ultra high yield 2.4 ounces gold fingers / trimmings solid gold | eBay

Have you had a test done on these to see what they will yield? Ebay is where they need to be at.

alot of home refiners handle this material, i can sell to them directly and cut out the middle man (scrap buyers/resellers), all thanks to ebay, otherwise im stuck selling to the resellers at $80 a pound

Like fingers but no spaces in between, continuous gold plating. Clearly shown in the 1st picture.
